Garmin Connect™ App -
Menstrual Cycle Tracking

The Need
Create educational copy and user flow copy for the new menstrual cycle tracking feature in the Garmin Connect app.

My Role

  • Research and write friendly, educational content about the four phases of the menstrual cycle

  • Collaborate with UX designers and stakeholders to develop copy that guides the user through setup and everyday feature use

  • Maintain gender-neutral language throughout feature copy to ensure inclusivity for all users

Educational Content

HELP COPY - ABOUT MENSTRUAL CYCLE
The four menstrual cycle phases aren’t common knowledge, so it was important to provide background information for all app users who wanted to start tracking their cycles using this new feature.

HELP COPY - CYCLE TYPES & PREDICTIONS
There are multiple cycle types in this feature, and the type a user selects impacts their cycle and fertility predictions. I wrote a brief summary of each to help users better understand which to choose.

DAILY VIEW

When a user opens the feature, they can see key information about their menstrual cycle, make edits and add how they’re feeling. I wrote the labels for this page, as well as the short educational content that changes during each phase. On the right, you’ll see more of the short, phase-specific copy I wrote.
